The combat system in SWORD ART ONLINE: Memory Defrag is perfectly adapted to touchscreens. Move your character by sliding your finger around the screen, and make him attack by tapping quickly. Holding your finger down blocks enemy attacks, and tapping another character's portrait calls him or her to battle.
As you play and destroy enemies, you can unlock new characters to join your adventure. In fact, you can even count on help from other players, who can 'lend' you some of their characters to fight on your side during a battle.
